On a peaceful morning, an outbreak of a zombie virus suddenly changes the world. Formerly friendly neighbors become brain-hungry zombies. The once bustling city falls into ruin, as if the apocalypse has arrived. You decide to build a shelter with strong defenses to provide safety for other survivors.
Staying alive after doomsday is extremely difficult. Many survivors need help, whether finding food, protection from zombies, or just a safe place to sleep. You can build restaurants, hospitals, hotels, gas stations, and more inside your shelter. These provide services for survivors and earn you money. Recruit survivors to manage the facilities and upgrade them to attract more survivors.
The most terrifying nights are when zombies attack your shelter. Alarms blare as zombies besiege your walls. Build powerful sentry towers and place your strongest warrior companions inside to defend against the waves of undead. Upgrading sentry towers and companions increases their damage against the zombie hordes.
Each survivor has unique abilities that make them suited to different jobs. Some are great cooks, some are excellent rescuers, and some are zombie-slaying warriors. Assign survivors jobs matching their skills or have them join your fighting force. Don’t forget to upgrade your survivors to make them even more powerful.
You’ll need to gather resources from the world to upgrade your facilities. There are at least four islands left to explore, but they are full of hazards. Bring companions when exploring and flee from zombies too strong to defeat. Surviving is the priority during your expeditions.
Cooking and building requires a steady supply of ingredients and materials. Unlock farms, fish, and forage for vegetables and fruits. Use collected resources to craft equipment and upgrade buildings. Traveling merchants will also visit your shelter to sell meat and other precious commodities, if you have the cash.
The urban outskirts, dark forests, farmlands, and city centers swarm with terrifying zombies and mutated beasts. Many wield weapons and attack in groups. Beware even more so of zombie bosses that are nearly invincible. Wear protective gear, bring medicine, and take companions when venturing out to improve your chances of survival.
One bright spot is the opportunity to rescue adorable pets and train them to fight by your side. Each animal has unique battle skills to aid you while exploring dangerous territory. Show them affection by feeding and caring for them. Loyal animal friends are invaluable assets during the zombie apocalypse.
